AN23 – Porto Viro Valleys Loop [Po Delta]

At the heart of the Po Delta lies a fascinating cycle-touring loop of about 41 km, running between embankments, country roads and the scenic Via delle Valli Sud. An ideal route for lovers of birdwatching and nature photography, immersed in the lagoon landscape.

The start is at Porto Levante, a hamlet of Porto Viro. Proceeding clockwise, you immediately join Via delle Valli, finding yourself between two wide stretches of water that define the unique environment of the Po Delta. After about 10 km you reach Po di Maistra: here the route continues anticlockwise along the left bank of the river to Ca' Pisani.

Past this locality, you leave the valleys behind and continue along the embankment for another 11 km. Shortly before Porto Viro you leave the embankment, heading towards the small hamlet of Mea. From here, the return to Porto Levante is on quiet country roads, generally with little traffic.
