AN24 – Ca' Venier Island Loop [Po Delta]

Ca' Venier Island is the northernmost of Porto Tolle's three large river islands, enclosed between the branches of the Po di Maistra and the Po di Venezia, in the heart of the Po Delta Regional Park.

At the eastern tip of the island stands Pila, a fishing village with an appealing beach a little further north, at Boccasette.

The loop runs along embankments and rural roads between canals, reed beds and fishing valleys, through a watery landscape where time seems to have stood still: the most authentic and quiet face of the Delta, ideal for a naturalistic stop along the main route.
