AN25 – Polesine Camerini Island Loop [Po Delta]

Polesine Camerini Island is the southernmost of Porto Tolle's river islands, a strip of young land reclaimed from the sea between the branches of the Po and the lagoon. Its name recalls the Camerini family, who bought the island in the mid-19th century and built the manor house there, the oldest building on the island.

Here also opens the Sacca degli Scardovari, famed for its prized Cozza di Scardovari PDO mussel.

The loop follows river branches, fishing valleys and coastal lagoons, through a landscape that blends wild nature and age-old fishing tradition: the last land before the Adriatic.
