Privacy policy

Data controller

Marco Zanetti, operator of the informational website www.cicloviaadriatica.eu (not the owner or representative of any "Ciclovia Adriatica"). For any request about your data write to info@cicloviaadriatica.eu.

What data we collect

– contact: name, email and, if you provide it, phone number
– Adriatic Passport and bookings: code, stay dates, accommodation, number of people
– payments: handled by Stripe (guarantee card) and PayPal (guides and GPX tracks). The card number never passes through us: we only keep an identifier (token) and the last 4 digits
– technical data: IP address and time of requests in our logs, for security, kept for 30 days
– for purchases: the channel you came from (e.g. Google, Instagram or a campaign) and the type of device (computer, phone or tablet), to learn which ads work; no other device data
– anonymous, aggregated statistics with Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies

Why we use it

– to provide the Passport, guides and bookings, collect payments and meet tax obligations: performance of a contract and legal obligation
– to send you service communications (confirmations, reminders, contact with the accommodation): performance of a contract
– waiting list and optional alerts: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time
– traffic statistics: your consent through the cookie banner
– site security, abuse prevention and analysis of purchase channels: legitimate interest

Who we share it with

Only what is strictly necessary: the accommodations where you book, Stripe and PayPal for payments, Aruba S.p.A. for sending emails, the site's hosting provider and, if you consented, Google Analytics. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party marketing. Some of these providers (notably Stripe, PayPal and Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep it

– Passport and bookings: for the validity of the Passport, then as long as the law requires (tax data up to 10 years)
– guarantee card: until the Passport is deleted or you ask us to remove it
– technical logs: 30 days
– waiting list and alerts: until you withdraw consent

The data needed to issue the Passport or manage a booking is essential; everything else is optional. We do no profiling and no automated decision-making.

Your rights

By writing to info@cicloviaadriatica.eu you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time (GDPR arts. 15-22). You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Technical cookies (always on)

They are needed for the site to work: they keep your session (access to the Passport or accommodation area, forms and their protection) and last up to 30 days. They do not identify you and are not used for profiling. We also store your cookie banner choice on your device.

Google Analytics 4 (only if you accept)

Collects aggregated statistics on how the site is used (pages visited, origin, device). It starts only after your consent: before that no Google server is contacted. You can change your mind by clearing the site's data in your browser (the banner reappears) or with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Payments

On payment pages Stripe and PayPal may use their own cookies, under their own policies.

We do not use advertising, profiling or retargeting cookies.

The following are protected by copyright, without limitation:
– GPX tracks and all downloadable files from the website
– interactive and static maps
– stage information, distances, elevation profiles and route descriptions
– guides (digital and printed) and their contents
– photographs and images published on the website
– texts, descriptions and practical tips

Strictly prohibited, without exception

Without prior written permission from Marco Zanetti, it is expressly forbidden to:
– reproduce, copy or duplicate the content, in whole or in part, by any means
– share, publish or redistribute the content on any platform, website, app, social network or other channel
– modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the content
– use the content for commercial purposes, even partially
– sell, assign or transfer the content to third parties in any form
